Pacific Northwest Key Club 70th Annual District Convention
What is DCON? Every year PNW key club holds a district convention consisting of the 300+ clubs from Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Northern California, and the Panhandle of Idaho. In this two day convention, you can network with other members, attend workshops, receive officer training, learn more about running for higher office and attend the caucusing where you will meet the candidates for the district board! What division are we? Why do we wear red? We are the division 32 dragons! The SECOND biggest division in the Pacific Northwest. Our spirit colors are red and black and our mascot is Toasty the Dragon. On the first day of DCON, after everyone is settled in with their hotel rooms. We head to the convention center to do our meet and greet and meet other key clubbers. The first day is the only day where we wear our spirit gear so go all out and show your 32 spirit! What is Service in Paradise? Every year after DCON, the PNW Key Clubbers pick a theme for the following year. Last year, "Wild West Service" was chosen as the 2019-2020 DCON theme. But due to the pandemic, DCON was cancelled so the theme has carried on to this year; 2020-2021. (rip DCON 2019-2020). The district board hopes with this theme it, "bring long lasting memories and experiences that Key Clubbers will cherish for a life-time." |
